Design
Faithful to the original early 1970s interior, carefully selected accessories from contemporary collections have been added. For instance, take the Moon armchair by Japanese artist Tokujin Yoshioka, manufactured by Moroso in 2010. Except for the previous paper ceiling lights, which had to be substituted due to current fire safety regulations, nothing has been replaced. In their stead are the delicate, transparent fibre glass globe lamps by the Dutch designer Bertjan Pot, from the Moooi design house.
Architecture
True to the original, yet at the same time truly original. These are single rooms, located on the first and second floor. They offer a freshly redesigned modern bathroom and direct access to the loggia.
Views
The outside offers the freedom of open spaces, while the interior provides sanctuary. In between, stretches the loggia. The precise geometrical form of the white-washed loggia provides a contrast to the soft contours of the lake shore, allowing uninterrupted views of the water and mountains beyond.
The interior
Expectations determine the limits of possibility. With the greatest of care, the vintage American pine furniture and doors have been restored. The original doors have not only been extensively renovated, they have been soundproofed and equipped with key card locks. And if modernity has been drawn from, the spirit of the original conception remains.
